How to Prepare for your Live Scan Appointment
- Make sure your fingers are moisturized. Use lotion multiple times a day leading up to your visit. (But not on the day of your visit, if you require ink fingerprints)
- Come with clean hands and bring a hand sanitizing wipe with you to prepare your hands for the scanner.
- Bring the following with you
- Valid, non-expired government-issued photo ID
- Supporting fingerprint paper documents, when applicable (call us if you have questions about what this entails_
- Fingerprinting cards, if applicable (we also have FD-258 cards in stock)
- Credit card, debit card payment or company voucher
- And of course, your fingers

- Court Order for Name Change/Gender Change/Adoption/Divorce
- Marriage Certificate (Government issued certificate)
- U.S. Government issued Consular Report of Birth Abroad
- Foreign Passport with appropriate immigration document(s)
- Certificate of Citizenship (N560)
- Certificate of Naturalization (N550)
- INS I-551 Resident Alien Card issued since 1997
- INS 1-688 Temporary Resident Identification Card
